The Russian Paralympic Chess Players participated in XXXXII Baku Chess Olympiad

The  Russian Paralympic Athletes with Physical Impairments participated in Open XXXXII Baku Chess Olympiad, which took place in capital of Azerbaijan – Baku.

The tournaments lasted for 14 days (from September 1 to September 14, 2016)

The Russian Players Dmitriy Sherbin, Stanislav Mikheev took 12 team points and won 74 position. In the male tournament which was conducted according to Swiss system, 150 teams participated in 11 tournaments.

At female participants, there were there Russian Paralympians  among them Galina Melnichuk  took 3.5 points out of 9 and Marina Kaidanovich 4.5 out of 9 and finally Marina Dorozhina 0 out of 5. The Russian players took 102 place out of 140 teams (10 teams points).

Russian players with visual impairment also actively participated, Uriy Meskov and Stanislav Barukin played for their team and took 11 points at 88 place. Uriy took 5.5 points out of 10 and Stanislav 5.5 out of 11. Olga Lagutina was representing athletes with hearing impairments , the team took 10 and 81 place, Olga took 4 points out of 11.
