The world championship was held from September 9 to 16 in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv under the aegis of the World Rowing Federation (FISA).
The Russian national Pararowing team with complete of the championship has won 2 bronze medals.
The Russian athlete Aleksey Chuvashev in the class PR1M1X in the final race won the third place with time 9:35,330.
The winner of the first place became the Australian athlete Eric Horrie (9:16,900) and the second one the Ukrainian Roman Palyanski (9:17,360).
In the class PR3Mix2X the bronze medals went to Evgenyi Borisov (Saint-Petersburg/Lipetsk Region) and Valentina Zhagot ( Saint-Petersburg).
The Russian crew Российский overcame the distance in 7 minutes and 49,930 seconds. The winners of the race became the Brazilian team with time 7:30,820, and in the second place came the Austrians with time 7:42,680.

Para rowing was included for the first time in the program of the Paralympic Summer Games in Beijing in 2008. In the competitions can participate men and women. Races are held in 4-class boats at a distance of 2000 meters. The rowing boats for male or female single may be equipped with special buoys, which work as stabilizers providing balance. At the Paralympic Summer Games 2020 in Tokyo (Japan) will be played 4 sets of medals in Para rowing. The Russian athletes have to conquer in these games the right to participate in the future Paralympics in two years.
