The Paralympic Athletes from Kamchatka region, held the «Paralympic Lesson» at the various educational facilities in the region.

From October 1 to October 19, 2018, the honored athletes of the Kamchatka region held Paralympic lessons, sports competitions, and anti-doping talks at educational institutions in the Kamchatka region (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovsky District, Nikolaevka) for 98 students aged 11 to 16 years. Among famous Paralympic Champions and prize winners were:

Alexandra Frantseva - Honored Master of Sports of Russia, 2-time champion, 2-time silver and bronze medalist of the Paralympic Games in Alpine Skiing among people with visual impairment;

Oksana Miryasova - Master of Sports of Russia of international class, multiple winner of the European and World Cups in the overall standings, champion of Russia, participant of the three Paralympic Games in Alpine Skiing among people with physical impairments.

Paralympic lessons, competitions, conversations were held using visual materials, videos, awards received by athletes at competitions at various levels. There have been active discussions about the use of doping in sport, the result of which led to an unambiguous conclusion - the inadmissibility of its use.

Also, on September 29, 2018, in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (the Kamchatka Territory), the Regional sports games “Overcoming” for persons with disabilities were held in the Zvezdny Sports and Recreation Center.

This year the Games were held for the fifth time and more than 60 athletes gathered.

Participants competed in four sports: sports of the blind, sports of the deaf, sports of people with lesions of the musculoskeletal system, sports of people with intellectual disabilities in five disciplines: darts, checkers, athletics (running 30 meters, throwing the ball, long jump), mini bowling and mini basketball.

Winners and prize-winners were awarded with medals and diplomas, and winning teams with cups and diplomas. All participants were awarded pennants and sweet prizes.
