Russian para archers took one gold and three silver medals at 2017 World Archery Para Championships in Beijing, China.

Sergey Khutakov (Republic of Buryatia), Anton Zyapayev (Sverdlovsk Region) and Kirill Smirnov (Zabaikalsky Region) won the Championships in recurve open, outscoring USA 6:2.

Svetlana Barantseva (Krasnodar Region), Margarita Sidorenko (Krasnodar Region) and Irina Batorova (Republic of Buryatia) took silver medals in the same competitions among women, lost to China 3-5 in the final.

Russian team also took silver in Men’s W1 Team event. Igor Meshkov (Moscow Region), Konstantin Donskoy (Moscow Region) and Alexander Dorofeev (Republic of Buryatia) lost to Turkish team in the final match 202-205.

Also Moscow para archers Svetlana Barantseva (Krasnodar Region) and Sergey Khutakov (Republic of Buryatia) took bronze medals losing to Iran Team 2-6 in Recurve Mixed Team Open event.


At the previous 2015 World Archery Para Championships in Germany Russian team took 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals.
