Head coach of the Russian National Team Olga Murina summed up the results of the world championship:
"The Russian national team for the second time have become the winner of the Team World Youth Championship of the BNP Paribas World Team Cup.
The first time we won the continental championship in 2014, last year won silver medals, and this time, we were able to repeat the success of the previous time 4 years ago.
This time, like last year, we were seeded in the same group with the Brazilians, and also lost to them in the group stage of the competition.
However, in the final we were able to take a revenge. We really wanted to win and to win in the second time in such competitions. Thanks to the right attitude and the desire to win, we succeeded, even though the difference in the age of our athletes and players of the Brazilian national team reached 4 years."
Wheelchairs Tennis was included in the program of the Paralympic Games. The game uses standard tennis courts and equipment, the main differences in the rules are that the ball can be hit not only after the first, but also after the second rebound of the ball to the surface, the second rebound may be outside the court.
