Russia became first at World Para-Taekwondo Championships in Switzerland

ITF World Para-Taekwondo Championships was held in Lausanne, Switzeland on June 8. There were competitions among male and female teams.{nl}{nl}Russian National Team gained 4 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals.{nl}It helps Russian team to be first in overall team men ranking, followed by Azerbaijan, Turkish team – the third. Turkish Women team took first place in women ranking, Russia and Azerbaijan – second and third respectively.{nl}{nl}Head coach of Russian team Alexander Efremov took The Best Coach Award.{nl}The Chairman of the Executive Committee, Firth Vice-President of The Russian NPC Pavel Rozhkov congratulated Russian athletes with outstanding competitions.{nl}{nl}During the World Championships Pavel Rozhkov met with the President of the World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Chu, President of the European Taekwondo Union Sakis Pragalos, President of the European Para-Taekwondo Union Alexander Shluchkov and member of European Taekwondo Union Executive Board Eugeniy Klyuchnikov. He discussed the issues of collaborating regarding promoting para-taekwondo into Paralympic Sports and organization of international para-taekwondo competitions in Russia.
