At the World Archery Championships of The Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairment, which was held from 3 to 9 June 2019, the Russian National Team won 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals, thus taking the third place in unofficial team placing. At the first place is Chinese team, at the second – Turkish team.
Following the results of the largest International Rifle Forum, the Russian Team received 8 quotas for participation in the Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.
Pavel Rozhkov, Chief of the Mission of the Russian National Team at the Paralympic Games 2020:
«First of all, I want to congratulate the whole Team with the great performance at the World Championships. This rivalry was not easy and you got a hold over it. At the end Championships, Russian athletes won 8 quotas for participation in the Paralympic Games, before the start of which remains almost a year. In accordance with the Qualification Guidance, the maximum number of quotas in archery for the National Paralympic Committee should not exceed 18 quotas».
Russian archers of The Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairment are off to take part in two more International Qualifying Competitions in 2020.

Our Team have to participate in two more International Competitions in 2020, where teams will struggle for quotas for the Paralympic Games 2020. The second stage of the European Cup in Czech Republic and the European Cup Final in Germany. The Russian Paralympic Committee will submit the nominal sports application for the upcoming Paralympic Games until 3 of August, 2020.
At the XV Paralympic Summer Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, archers of The Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairment won 12 quotas, and at the XIV Paralympic Summer Games 2012 in London won 12 quotas. At the Paralympic Games 2012 Russian archers for the first time won 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
