Vladimir Lukin, Pavel Rozhkov, Mikhail Terentiev and Partich Pohlit, attended IPC Governing Board’s Meeting in Bonn (Germany)

Vladimir Lukin, RPC’s president, Pavel Rozhkov, RPC’s Chair of Executive Committee, first vice-president, Mikhail Terentiev, member of RPC’s Executive Committee, Paralympic champion attended IPC Governing Board’s Meeting in a headquarter of International Paralympic Committee, located in Bonn (Germany).
The meeting were also attended by the RPC's lawyer, partner of audit UST company, Partich Pohlit, member of IPC Medical Committee, deputy Chief of RPC’s Commission of Medical, Anti-Doping and Functional Classification, Guzel Idrisova, member of IPC’s Standing Committee, Evgeniy Bukharov.
On 22 of July, 2016 IPC decided to open IPC membership suspension proceedings for RPC.

RPC learned attentively IPC Notice on formal opening of IPC membership suspension proceedings for RPC and Mr. McLaren’s IP Report and considers that there are no any ground for RPC’s membership’s suspension proceedings. 
Be reminded that Russian Para-athletes are supervised and continue to have a strict anti-doping control during the competitions and training camps. Ahead of Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games Russian Para-athletes have had the most of their doping tests abroad, as they were participating in international qualification events, where doping tests were made by the international laboratories. During half a year, as was recommended by WADA, Russian Para-athletes have practiced to have doping tests exclusively under the supervision of UKAD and only in foreign anti-doping laboratories, accredited by WADA.

During meeting in Bonn Vladimir Lukin responded to the questions posed by the members and management team of IPC as well as he reported on the preparation of Russian Para-athletes to the upcoming Paralympic Games in Brazil. 
"RPC was always supporting and will continue to support strict measures to those who use prohibited substances in sport. However, simultaneously RPC is aimed at protecting the rights of «clean» athletes. Those athletes who alongside its sport career by its hardworking and strong will are trying to achieve high sport results. Those, who against all odds overcome their impairments and approach to their goal and reach it”. 

After the meeting was finished, IPC’s Governing Board members reached the decision to inform on IPC membership suspension proceedings for Russian Paralympic Committee on 6-7 of July. 
During the interview with mass media representatives, Vladimir Lukin also applied to Russian para-athletes:
"We appeal to all Russian Para-athletes to prepare properly and with intense. We are working for Russian Team to be able to participate in Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. What we could reach does not depend on us. We do our best and you are to do your best to be well-prepared for participation in Rio 2016!".
