President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin, Chairman of the Governing BOARD , First Vice-President of the RPC Pavel Rozhkov took part in the general meeting of the founders of the Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA that took place in the Russian Olympic Committee.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov, representatives of RUSADA and others.
Following the results of the General Meeting of RUSADA Members, who supported the recommendations of the Supervisory Board of the organization, the following decisions were made:
- disagree with the decision of the WADA Board of December 9, 2019, which supported the recommendation of the CRC on the recognition RUSADA as non-compliant to the World Anti-Doping Code, the consequences of such non-compliance and the conditions for the reinstatement of RUSADA status.
- instruct RUSADA Director General Yuri Ganus on December 27, 2019 to send to WADA a notice of RUSADA disagreement with the decision of the WADA Board dated December 9, 2019 on RUSADA's Code non-compliance, the consequences of such non-compliance and the conditions for resinstatement RUSADA status. And about the existence of an appropriate dispute between WADA and RUSADA in accordance with the approved notification model.
- approve the law firm Schellenberg Wittmer to represent RUSADA in CAS, litigation and other proceedings in connection with the decision of the WADA Executive Committee dated December 9, 2019.
- instruct RUSADA Director General Yuri Ganus to draw up the powers of attorney to the Schellenberg Wittmer law firm before December 27, 2019 to represent RUSADA interests in CAS, litigation and other proceedings in connection with the decision of the WADA Board dated December 9, 2019 and submit their originals to the Russian Olympic Committee.
