TWO RUSSIAN ATHLETES WILL TAKE PART IN THE FIRST TOURNAMENT OF THE 2021 PC WORLD PARA SWIMMING SERIES IN GREAT BRITAIN

In Sheffield (Great Britain) from 8 to 11 April the first tournament of the 2021 IPC World Para Swimming Series will take place.

Russia will be represented at the competition by two athletes with physical impairments: Artur Apostolaki from St. Petersburg and Elena Klyachkina from the Moscow region.

In total, 4 tournaments of the world series are planned in the international calendar of 2021.

The second tournament will take place in the USA from April 15-17. Next, the tournament will take place in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) from 17 to 18 April. The final will be the competition in Berlin (Germany) from 17 to 20 June.

Swimming is the second most medal sport played at the 16th Paralympic Games. In total, 540 sets of medals will be played at the 2020 Games, of which 146 sets will be competed for swimmers.
