THE RUSSIAN PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE CONDUCTED ANTI-DOPPING SEMINAR FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL PARA-TAEKWONDO TEAM IN THE CITY OF ALEXIN (TULA REGION)

The Russian Paralympic Committee conducted Anti-Doping Seminar at the base of the Russian Sport Ministry Sport Training Center “Oka”in the city of Alexin for members of the Russian National Para-Taekwondo Team.

 The Seminar program covered following subjects: the WADA Anti-Doping Code, examples of anti-doping rules violations, the WADA prohibited list, procedures of doping control, rights and obligations of athletes, information regarding registration into the ADAMS system, investigation procedures od alleged anti-doing rules violations, athletes availability for testing, consequences of doping use for athletes health and carrier and other various issues related to doping.  


The Seminar which took place on October 10, 2017 there were 7 athletes and 1 specialist of the Russian National Para-Taekwondo Team.

The Seminar was followed by the testing, which was passed by all 8 participants. All received certificates.
 

The presentation of the anti-doping program was held on August 19, 2017 in the Paralympic Sports House with the participation of an independent international expert appointed by WADA and currently working in Russia to assist in returning the status of RUSADA compliance to the WADA World Anti-Doping Code of Peter Richard Nicholson, leaders and representatives of the National Paralympic committees, the International Sports Federations and representative from the IWAS.

 For the implementation of the Educational Anti-Doping Program, the Russian Paralympic Committee faces the task in the near future to train more than 2,500 Russian athletes, coaches and specialists of Russian national teams. With a view to realizing this task, the RCC together with independent international experts WADA and RUSADA specialists prepared 15 lecturers. With the goal of creating an open environment with zero tolerance for doping and protecting the purity of sports, the RCC produced special propaganda attributes, published in the second issue of the Paralympic Sports magazine background information on anti-doping support for athletes, the work of the hotline of the RCC, the testing of medications, platform RUSADA and a special crossword puzzle where you can test your knowledge in the field of anti-doping.
