The Russian Paralympic Committee and the International Physically Disabled Chess Association organize an Online Chess Tournament dedicated to the International Chess Day.

 The Russian Paralympic Committee, together with the International Physically Disabled Chess association and a coaching staff of the Russian National Chess Team for Persons with physically impairments, organize an Online Chess Tournament dedicated to the International Chess Day.

The Tournament will take place on 20 July at 15:00 (Moscow time) on a lichess.org online platform.

In total, seven rounds will be played, with a time control of 15 minutes + 3 seconds per move for each participant. The maximum game time is 45 minutes. The approximate time of the tournament is 3.5 hours. Each will play seven games.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the tournament.

If you are a beginner, and are just mastering this sport, then register in Tournament B, for beginners and amateurs.

If you are an experienced player, choose Tournament A and compete on the chessboard with the winners and prizewinners of the world championships.

Andrey Obodchuk, eight time World Champion in Chess among PI Athletes, has already confirmed his participation. The Honorary President of the International Physically Disabled Chess Association Pilimon Zbigniev, champion and repeated prizewinner of the World Championships, Israeli chess player Andrey Gurbanov, the Polish National Team and many others are planning to take part.

To participate in the tournament, you must send a form to chess@paralymp.ru, register on the website https://lichess.org/ and join the group https://lichess.org/team/ipca.

Then choose a suitable tournament.

The winners and prizewinners of the tournaments will receive Diplomas, and all participants will receive commemorative certificates.
