The RPC sadly inform of passing of member Para Ice Hockey Club “Yugra” (Khanty-Mansiysk) of Russian National Team Andrey Dvinyaninov

The Russian Paralympic Committee expressed its deep condolences to relatives, friends and teammates of Andrey Dvinyaninov, silver medalist of Paralympic Games, 3-times champion of Russia, honored master of sport, who passed away at the age of 32.

Andrey Dvinyaninov stood at the origins of the formation and development of para ice hockey in Russia, starting to engage in this sport in 2009 in his hometown of Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic.

As part of the Russian national team, he became the bronze medalist at the 2013 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships, as well as the silver medalist of the Paralympic Games, having scored three goals against the Italian national team at the group stage of the tournament.

The Russian Paralympic family is mourning for a talented athlete and reliable friend, Andrei Dvinyaninov.
