Other discoveries followed in a succession, until appearance of the Large Hadron Collider – the world’s largest particle accelerator, at the research center of the European Council for Nuclear Research.{nl}{nl}One of the most striking and remarkable scenes of the ceremony was "flight" on golden wheelchairs over the arena by six Paralympic athletes, each representing their own sport. Among them were. track and field athlete Robert Barrett, tennis player Kay Forshaw, Javelin thrower Tony Griffin, judoka Ian Rose and swimmer Mark Woods.{nl}These and other athletes, performances were held under the musical medley created by a local DJ of "Goldiroks"/ group Samantha Louise.{nl}{nl}
