MOSCOW, June 1. / TASS /. The first gathering of Russian Teams in Paralympic sports is scheduled for the period from June 14 to July 5, it will be held in Aleksin in the Tula region. The president of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Vladimir Lukin said this in an interview with TASS.
“The first training events are planned at the “Oka” federal sports base RUTB in Aleksin from June 14 to July 5” - Lukin said. “They will be organized for members of the Russian National Powerlifting and Archery teams for Persons with Physical Impairments, which residents in Moscow, the Moscow region and the surrounding regions of the Russian Federation. The main condition is that athletes and coaches be able to get to the base by personal transport without the use of air and rail."
“The day after arrival, all participants in the training event will undergo mandatory testing for the presence of coronavirus infection - it will be arranged in coordination with the Federal Medical – Biological Agency directly at the sports base. After receiving the results of testing for COVID-19 within 48 hours, an in-depth medical testing of athletes is planned" - added the head of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
