MOSCOW, December 6. / TASS /. Marina Sechina, President of the Russian Equestrian Federation, has been re-elected for a new term. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Russian Equestrian Federation.
Sechina was the only candidate. The elections were held over two days by absentee voting by 242 delegates.
Later, the composition of the Russian Equestrian Federation bureau and members of the control review commission will be announced.
Sechina became the president of the Russian Equestrian Federation in December 2016. During this time, Russia hosted a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in show jumping and dressage "Tokyo Tour", the Eurasian Championship, the General Assembly of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and an international seminar for dressage judges. In 2019, Sechina joined the FEI Council and Solidarity Committee. The Russian National Dressage team for the first time since 1992 will perform at the Olympic Games in the team event.
