This Wednesday Russian National team won 26 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 18 bronze medals at the World IWAS Games 2015 of the International Sports Federation of the Wheelchair and Amputees being held in Sochi.
Russian swimmers won 12 gold medals, 10 silver medals, 7 bronze medals; Track and Field athletes won 12 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 8 bronze medals, the masters of Table Tennis won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
The champions of the Games competitions held on Tuesday are the following Russian athletes: Chermen Kobesov (for the second time), Evgeny Shvetsov, Alexei Kotlov, Dmitry Bibilov, Alexei Ashapatov, Evgeny Torsunov, Dias Izbasarov, Vladislav Frolov, Evgeny Malykh, Evgenia Trushnikova, Zhanna Fekolina (Athletics); Ani Polyan (for the second time), Vyacheslav Lenskiy, Andrey Gladkov, Alexander Makarov, Denis Tarasov, Roman Zhdanov, Andrey Granichka, Dmitry Bartasinskiy, Olesya Vladykina, Nina Ryabova, Vladislava Stihoenko (Swimming); Alexei Saunin and Inna Karmaeva (Table Tennis).
The Russian National team firmly leading the overall team’s results of the competitions. There are 66 gold medals, 50 silver medals and 48 bronze medals won by the Russian National Team.
Second to Russian team is the team from China (3 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 9 bronze medals), the third team on the Rating List is the team of Poland (5 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 9 bronze medals). The first six places are shared by the teams from UAE (3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 2 bronze medals), Croatia (2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals) and Kazakhstan (2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 11 bronze medals).
The Tournament medal sets are already won by 27 counties.
The Taekwondo athletes were classified this Wednesday. The Archery athletes proceeded with competing in individual events.
The World IWAS Games are being staged in Sochi from the 26th of September till the 3rd of October’2015. There are more than 800 athletes from 34 countries competing in the said events.
