RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM TOOK 4TH PLACE AT THE EUROPEAN AMPUTEE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN KRAKOW

In the Polish city of Krakow, from September 12 to 19, matches of the European Amputee Football Championship took place.

The competition was attended by 14 teams.

At the group stage, the Russian national team in Group C with the same score 7: 0 beat the teams of Germany and Belgium, and defeated Ireland with a score of 2: 0.

In the quarterfinals, the Russian footballers defeated the Italian national team (2: 0).

In the semifinals, our team lost to Turkey (5: 2), and in the fight for the “bronze” - to Poland (1: 0).

The final match of the European Championship ended with a victory of Turkey over Spain - 6: 0.

Places from 5 to 14 were taken by teams from England, Italy, France, Ireland, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Ukraine, Israel and Belgium, respectively.
