Russian National Para Alpine Skiing Team took 1 gold and 4 silver medals in the First Stage of the IPC Para Alpine Skiing Word Cup

The First Stage of the IPC Para Alpine Skiing World Cup has finished in Veysonnaz (Switzerland).

Athletes competed for four sets of awards – two each in Giant Slalom and Slalom.

The Russian National Team won 1 gold and 4 silver medals.

Representative of Moscow and Irkutsk region, Varvara Voronchikhina twice won silver medals in Giant Slalom in the “Standing” category, and won gold and silver medals in Slalom.

Aleksey Bugaev (Moscow/Sakhalin region) won silver medal in Slalom. In Giant Slalom, he took the fourth place twice.

The best result of Alexander Alyabyev – the fourth place in Slalom. Aleksey Mikushin (Kamchatka Territory) – the seventh place in Slalom.

Following the World Cup, Veysonnaz will host the IPC Para Alpine Skiing international competition.

The competition will end on January 28.
