Goalball – summer Paralympic sport, exclusively for the athletes with visual impairment. Each athlete must wear opaque masks. The match consists of the halves of 12 minutes each. The aim of the competition is to throw the ball in the opponent’s gates. The players of the other team can block the ball with their bodies. The ball during movement on the field makes sounds that allows athletes to orientate on it. Because of this, the field of the competition should be in an absolute silence.
