RPC in cooperation with Moskomport, Russian Ministry of Sport and RUSADA will hold the first Forum of Young Paralympians in Moscow

On September 6, 2018 at 12:00, the Russian Paralympic Committee in cooperation with the Department of Sports and Tourism of Moscow (Moscomsport), the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency "RUSADA" will hold the first Forum of Young Paralympians.

Place of the Forum: "Center for Sport Innovative Technologies and Preparation of National Teams" Moscomsport (Moscow, Sovetskaya Armiya street, 6).

The opening of the Forum will involve the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Olympic Games Champion Pavel Kolobkov, the President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin, the Head of the Moscow Sports and Tourism Department, the Olympic Champion Nikolai Gulyaev, the General Director of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency Yuri Ganus, and others.

The event is organized for the purpose of anti-doping prevention and promotion of intolerance to doping among young Paralympic athletes, as well as the promotion of Paralympic values ​​and the development of sports for persons with impairments.

Participants of the Forum will be about 200 children with impairments who have their practices in sport schools under the jurisdiction of Moskomport, including candidates for Moscow and National Sports Teams in Paralympic Sports.

Educational seminars for future Paralympic sports stars will be conducted by an international expert appointed by WADA to work at RUSADA Eva Lyukoshute-Stanikunene, Deputy General Director of the RUSADA for International and Anti-Doping Affairs Margarita Pakhnotskaya, specialist of the RUSADA Educational Programs Implementation Department Yevgeny Khristenko.

Paralympic Ambassadors - multiple champions and prize-winners of the Paralympic Games, World and European Championships, whose mission is to actively promote the value of the Paralympic movement, the spirit of fair sports, the ideals of pure sport free from doping:

- 4-times champion of the Paralympic Games in track and field athletics, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Alexey Ashapatov

- 3-times champion of the Paralympic Games in track and field athletics, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Evgeny Shvetsov

- silver prizewinner of the Paralympic Games in Para Ice Hockey, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Dmitry Lisov and Vadim Selyukin

- 2-times bronze medalist of the Paralympic Games in judo Irina Kalyanova

- Champion and silver medalist of European championships in Goal ball, master of sports of international class Sergey Manzhos  

During the Forum, a separate seminar on anti-doping rules will be held for the Paralympic parents and coaches.
