Chairperson of the Governing Board, First Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Chief of Missions of Russian National teams at the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) and the XIII Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing (PRC) Pavel Rozhkov took part in the video conference of the IPC President Andrew Parsons with affiliated organizations following the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Paralympic Committee.
The conference participants got acquainted with the latest news on the organization and holding of the XVI Paralympic Summer Games "Tokyo 2020" and the XIII Paralympic Games from the Winter Games "Beijing 2022". In particular, measures were considered to reduce and minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection, information on playbooks, issues of classification and qualifications for the Games.
Andrew Parsons went on to report on the revision of the 2015 IPC Athletes' Classification Code, the reform of the IPC Office and the preparations for the IPC General Assembly, which is scheduled for December 2021.
The meeting was attended by IPC Chief Executive Officer Mike Peters, IPC Head of Affiliate Relations Department Kaiser Sachdev, Presidents of National Paralympic Committees, and others.
