Pavel Rozhkov took part at IWAS Executive Board meeting in Sharjah, UAE

Chairman of the RPC Governing Board, 1st Vice President of the RPC, IWAS Vice-President Pavel Rozhkov took part at IUWAS Executive Board meeting that took place in Sharjah, UAE.

The meeting was chaired by IWAS President Paul DePace. 

At the beginning of the meeting Paul DePace welcomed everyone and proposed to accept minutes of the previous GB meeting that took place in Pisa, Italy ion 2016.

IWAS CEO Charmain Hooper reported about Federation anti-doping matters.

 Pavel Rozhkov reported about process of reinstatement of the RPC’s membership in the IPC:

Starting from January 11, 2017 up to now the RPC Coordination Committee (RPC CC) send to the IPC Taskforce information, documents and requests regarding 59 criterions (67 in total) of the Road Map. Implementation of most of the criterions was confirmed at the meeting between RPC CC and IPC Taskforce on May 8-9 in Bonn, Germany. After the meeting the IPC Taskforce submits to the IPC GB the progress report of the reinstatement procedure that will be considered at IPC GB Meeting on 19-21 May in Barcelona. After that IPC will hold a press-conference on May 22.

Regarding the bidding process for 2019 IWAS World Games Pavel Rozhkov proposed three cities-candidates from Russian to organize the competitions. Also the interest to hold the 2019 Games was intended by Thailand and UAE. Regarding this year World Games that will be held in Portugal Pavel Rozhkov underlined the participation of Russian athletes in athletics, swimming, para-taekwondo, archery and table tennis.

At the end delegate made a decision to hold the next IWAS General Assembly in Portugal on December 2, 2017 during IWAS World Games.

On May 18, EB members will meet with authorities of national sport organization in UAE, will visit few sport venues, sport clubs focus on preparation of Paralympic athletes.
