MOSCOW, June 18. / TASS /. Tests for coronavirus of members of the Russian Paralympic Archery and Powerlifting teams showed a negative result. This was reported to TASS by the First Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Pavel Rozhkov.
The Russian Paralympic Archery and Powerlifting teams undergo their training camps at the Federal Base of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation in the Tula region.
“The Russian National Para Powerlifting Team arrived at the base on June 14, the National Para Archery team on June 15,” - said Rozhkov. “All the participants in the training camp, 23 athletes and 15 trainers and doctors, reached the base on personal vehicles. In accordance with the recommendations of the FMBA and Rospotrebnadzor, powerlifters and archers were tested for coronavirus infection. The test results are negative, and they will undergo an in-depth medical examination and begin scheduled training within two days".
"In July, the Russian Paralympic Committee, together with the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, will organize training events for the Russian National Teams in Para table tennis, Para badminton, Para skiing, Para powerlifting and Para archery. We will provide more detailed information" - added the RPC Vice President.
