Chairperson of the RPC Governing Board, RPC first vice-president, Phd in Pedagogy, Doctor of Economics, professor – Pavel Rozhkov, at the RPC headquarter, has appealed with his welcoming speech to the audience of the RPC Additional Educational Program (the Program) on the experts' assessment of an accessibility to the prioritized facilities and services in the prioritized fields of impaired persons’ life activities and other groups of people with limited mobility.

 


The specialists of the regional offices of the Ministry of Social Development of Moscow Region have had their educational courses.

In his welcoming speech, Pavel Rozhkov highlighted:

 «You are supposed to have your educational courses in the field of experts' assessment of an accessibility to the prioritized facilities and services in the prioritized fields of impaired persons’ life activities and other groups of people with limited mobility. This topic is truly very significant and of a current interest due to the fact that the attention from the side of public sector and population is permanently growing”

Also, Pavel Rozhkov underlined the RPC’s long-term experience in providing a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility.

«The RPC’s specialists are included into the members of various commissions and taskforces in this field, participating in topic-targeted exhibitions. The RPC has actively participated in preparation to Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games and participating in project construction of sport facilities, urban, transport infrastructure and in other activities. The RPC has monitored the construction of all the infrastructure which is to be in conformity both with the national legislation and to meet the international requirements of a free-barrier environment.

The RPC is also assisting in providing a barrier-free environment at the sport facilities and sport centers of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, where the Paralympic athletes are preparing for national and significant international competitions».

The speakers of this Program were the experts of  accessibility of the All-Russian Public Organization «Russian Association of Sport Facilities» (the RASF).

During the preparation for Sochi Olympic and Paralympic Games the RASF’s experts participated in examination of such facilities of social infrastructure as hotels, hospitals, buildings of educational and cultural activities. They have ensured this job not only in Sochi but also in Saint-Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut and other regions. Last year, within the common efforts by the RPC and RASF set in place, a unique book “Sport facilities for Paralympic sport and Physical culture for impaired” was published.

This Program is aimed at learning theoretical aspects of providing a barrier-free environment for impaired persons and other people with limited mobility in terms of preparation to make an expert’s assessment subject to accessibility of various socially oriented facilities for impaired persons within the methods of experiments, which have already implemented at the modern socially oriented facilities. 

Upon the completion of these courses, an assessment test will be organized at the end of which the certificates will be granted to the specialists.
