Chairman of the Executive Committee, the first vice – president of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Pavel Rozhkov, members of the Executive Committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee arrived in Khanty – Mansyisk (the Khanty - Mansijsk Autonomous Region – Ugra) to host the 5th All Russian Forum on the Development of the Paralympic Movement in the Russian Federation.
The All Russian Forum will be held from February 25 to 27.
The purpose of the Forum is the exchange of best practices of regional sports organizations in the development of adaptive physical education and sports, attracting the attention of the country and the public to the problems of people with disabilities.
The Forums extensive scientific, cultural and sports program will include a Paralympic lesson, exercises with Paralympic champions, an educational anti – doping seminar for young athletes, a scientific and practical conference on legal issues in the field of adaptive sports, the Executive Committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee and the regular reporting conference of the Russian Paralympic Committee. The final chord of the Forum will be the XIV Award Ceremony of the Russian Paralympic Committee prize “Return to life”.
The Forum will be attended by the Governor of he Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous Region Natalya Komarova, director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the region Sergey Artamonov, heads and employees of regional sports departments, sports and fitness organizations involved in the development of adaptive sports, Secretary General of the Russian Paralympic Committee, President of the All-Russian Federation of Persons with the Physical Impairment, 5-time Paralympic champion Andrey Strokin, vice-presidents of the Russian Paralympic Committee - President of Blind Sports Federation Lidia Abramova, President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Intellectual Impairments Sergey Evseev, 3-time Paralympic champion Olga Semenova, 13-time Paralympic champion Rima Batalova, members of the Executive Committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee - President of the All-Russian Football Federation for Persons with Cerebral Palsy, Avtandil Baramidze, senior coach of the Russian National Para Swimming Team for PI Athletes Yuri Nazarenko, silver medalist of the Paralympic Games in sledge hockey, first vice president of the All-Russian Federation of Persons with Physical Impairment Vadim Selyukin, the champions of the Paralympic CP Football, Andrei Kuvaev and Ivan Potekhin, the champion of the Paralympic Judo Games of the blind sport Madina Kazakova, the silver medalist of the Paralympic Games, the world champion, the 5-time European champion in powerlifting Vladimir Balynets and others.
