Pavel Rozhkov: 2021 IWAS World Games can be held in Russia
International Wheelchair and Amputee Sport federation offered the Russian Paralympic Committee to host 2021 IWAS World Games.

IWAS World Games in biennial major sporting event for para athletes with physical impairment. The First World Games took place in 1948.Today, during the IWAS General Assembly we were offered the possibility to host 2021 IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Championships, World Games and General Assembly. We have a good tradition and huge experience of hosting such major sporting events
In 2015, IWAS World Games for the first time were held in Russian city of Sochi. Near 800 para athletes from 34 countries competed in the competitions. The competitions saw 213 medal events in 6 sport: para athletics, para swimming, para archery, para table tennis, para taekwondo and para armsport. Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with the team that grabbed 123 gold, 105 silver and 95 bronze medals.
