Organizing Committee for IWAS World games 2015 including First Vice-President of Russian NPC - Second IWAS Vice-President, Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee on preparation and holding of the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games (IWAS) Pavel Rozhkov; Deputy Director of the Department for Development of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Vladimir Malits , experts of the Russian NPC holds inspection visit for venues and hotels in Sochi 10-14 August.
Pavel Rozhkov and director of the sports complex of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, "South-Sport" Mikhael Dremov hold a meeting where the issues of the organization of competition in athletics, table tennis, taekwondo and armwrestling; opening ceremonies, closing and awards; transportation services; security during the Games, and others were discussed.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Administration of Sochi, the ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Krasnodar Territory, the Federal Service of Safety when the Krasnodar Territory, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Krasnodar Territory, the Ministry of Social Protection of the Krasnodar Territory, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Emergency Situations, RUSADA and others.
Accessibility of sports facilities was inspected including new sport complex where table tennis, taekwondo and armwrestling will take place.
Then Pavel Rozhkov , Vladimir Malits, representatives of the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Krasnodar Territory and the Russian Ministry of Sport base "South-Sport" inspected accommodations: spa hotel "Cape of Prominent", where during the Games IWAs ifficials, IPC Technical Delegates, International Judges sport will be staying; Adlerkurort where Russian judges, foreign participants of the Games, volunteers will stay, as well as the venue for the meetings of the IWAS Executive Board , IWAS General Assembly and the joint meeting of the Russian NPC and the Board of the Russian Federation of sports for People with Physical Impairments.
the IWAS World Games will bring together over 700 participants from 34 countries. Competitions will be held in six sports - athletics, swimming, table tennis, archery and taekwondo armrestling.
Opening of the games will be held on September 27 at 17:00 on the basis of the Ministry of Sports Russia "South Sports"
