ON THE EVE PF THE INTERNATIONAL DECADE FPR PERSOND WITH DISABILITIES THE RUSSIAN PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE HOLD THE PARALYMPIC LESSON FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THR II FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF SLEDGE HOCKEY LEAGUE AND DISABLED CHILDREN OF CORRECTIONAL SCHOOLS IN

The Paralympic Committee of Russia in Sochi (Krasnodar Territory) on the eve of the International Decade of Disabled held a Paralympic lesson for participants of the II Festival of the Children's Sledge Hockey League and children with disabilities in correctional schools in Sochi.

About 200 children with disabilities from different cities took part in the Paralympic lesson: Moscow, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov, Berdsk, Tula, Odintsovo.

Paralympic lesson for young athletes was held by the president of the RPC Vladimir Lukin, the chairman of the Governing Board, the first vice president of the RPC Pavel Rozhkov, the 5-time champion of the Paralympic Games in swimming Andrei Strokin, the 3-time champion of the Paralympic Games in athletics Olga Semenova, the 2-time champion of the Paralympic Alpine skiing games Aleksey Moshkin, champion of the Paralympic Games, 3-time world champion in CP football, Ivan Potekhin and silver medalist of the Paralympic Games in Sledge Hockey Vadim Selyukin.

RPC leaders told young athletes about the history of the formation and development of the Paralympic movement in Russia and the world, about the sports included in the program of the Paralympic summer and winter games, about medals won by Russian athletes.

In turn, the famous Russian Paralympics spoke about personal achievements in sports, overcoming difficulties on the way to the sports Olympus, etc.

As part of the Paralympic lesson, Vladimir Lukin and Pavel Rozhkov presented the golden insignia of the All-Russian Military Sports Committee to the player of the sledge-hockey team “Udmurtia” Liliana Sadykova.

At the end, the young athletes were able to ask questions, take autographs, take a memory photo and received memorable prizes from the Russian Paralympic Committee.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities was approved in accordance with resolution 47/3 of the UN General Assembly of October 14, 1992. On December 3, events are held around the world that are aimed at drawing the attention of the state and
