In the city of Omsk (Omsk Region) were held the Interregional games for athletes with disabilities. The opening ceremony was attended by Oleg Smolin, vice-president of the RPC, first deputy chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Education and Science.
At the events participated athletes from 5 regions of Russia and from Kazakhstan.
In the opening parade the head of the Region Aleksandr Burkov hailed the 250 participants and the viewers.
Athletes from Omsk, Novosibirsk Regions, Altai, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Pavlodar Oblast and the Republic of Kazakhstan gathered to demonstrate the strength of the spirit in 5 sports (mini-football, long jump, ball throws in the basketball ring, ring throws, push-ups).
Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Oleg Smolin, on behalf of the RPC, congratulated the athletes and presented the letters of acknowledgments of the Paralympic Committee of Russia to the participants of the competitions and their organizers.
The main organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Omsk Region. the Minister of Labor and Social Development of the region Vladimir Kupriyanov commended: “I congratulate everyone on the beginning of the new tradition and I wish an easy start and a successful finish"
At the end of the day was conducted the awards ceremony and the closing ceremony, which were held at the Krasnaya Zvezda stadium.
