May 22, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a videoconferencing meeting on the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country.
During the meeting, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin reported to the head of state that the plan of action had been prepared to resume training activities for athletes of the national teams of the country.
“From Monday, May 25, the bases in Novogorsk and “Krugloye Lake”, which are located in the Moscow Region, will begin work with the National Teams. And, from June 1, federal bases located in the Krasnodar Territory, Stavropol Territory and Crimea are ready to start working. This issue has been worked out with sports federations and the Federal Medical - Biological Agency” - said Oleg Matytsin.
“We plan to start training in 21 sports, including three winter sports. I hope that with the support of the governors and cooperation with the Rospotrebnadzor, taking into account their requirements, we will successfully carry out this work” - said the Minister.
Oleg Matytsin added that before starting work on the bases, tests for coronavirus infection will be conducted, and the personnel of the bases will be in quarantine and work on a rotating scheme.
Vladimir Putin supported the decision to resume the work of training centers for the Russian national teams, focusing on the need for a clear organization of the fieldwork, compliance with discipline and sanitary requirements.
