Recently, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), informed me that the IOC today (March 22) has begun a four-week addressing the issue of a possible rescheduling of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The decision was made by the IOC Executive Board after an emergency meeting, which ended recently.
A group of key partners, including the IPC, will assess the current health situation and its impact on the Games, including a potential transfer scenario. I assure you that the cancellation of the Games is not considered.
As soon as I have more information, I will share it with you.
