The competition will take place between 13 and 17 March next year, and it will be the biggest international shooting Para sport event ever staged in the Scandinavian country – as well as the first major championships after the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Tyler Anderson, World Shooting Para Sport Senior Manager, said:

“Hamar 2022 represents a historic moment for our sport and a great cooperation with able-bodied shooting. The European 10m Championships will be a great start to our new Paralympic cycle and World Shooting Para Sport looks forward to it. I would like to thank ESC and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for their invaluable support.”

Bjorn Harald Vik, Chairman of the Hamar 2022 LOC, said:

“It is an honour and a privilege to welcome shooters from all over Europe to Norway for Hamar 2022. The motto for the Championships is integration, environmentally friendly, athlete in focus and optimal competition conditions. We look forward to meeting all in Hamar to exciting competition days.”
