Ekaterina Rumyantseva recognized as the best female athlete in the XII Paralympic winter Games 2018 in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea according to the International Paralympic Committee.
On the last Paralympics Ekaterina won 3 gold and 2 silver medals in cross-country skiing and biathlon, becoming the most decorated Russian athlete, performing as a neutral athlete.
Ekaterina has gained 77% of votes. The second became Oksana Masters (USA, cross-country skiing and biathlon) with 18% of votes. The third became Andrea Eskau (Germany, cross-country skiing and biathlon).
Instead of the traditional voting for the IPC best athlete of the month, the internet audience votes for three categories: “Best male athlete”, “Best female athlete”, and “Best team”, based on the results of the performance at Pyeongchang 2018.
The Russian Paralympic Committee congratulates Ekaterina on her victory and expresses gratitude to everyone, who participated in voting for the national athlete!
