Awarding ceremony of the Russian Paralympic Committee award “Return to life” was held in Khanty Mansijsk.

The 16th Awarding ceremony of the Russian Paralympic Committee award “Return to life” was held as part of the V All-Russian Forum on the Development of the Paralympic Movement in Russia. The ceremony was held by the Russian Paralympic Committee together with the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the region and the Center for Adaptive Sports of Ugra.

Before the ceremony, President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin read out the testimonial of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin:

"Dear friends!

I welcome you to Khanty Mansijsk at the ceremony of honoring the winners of the “Return to Life” award.

Paralympic sport unites with its noble mission courageous, strong-willed people. We are sincerely proud of the Russian athletes who achieve impressive results in prestigious competitions and give hope to others with their victories. And therefore, the “Return to Life” award has a special moral value. By tradition, it is awarded not only to talented Paralympics, but also to their mentors, public figures and organizers, those who help athletes succeed, make a significant contribution to the popularization of the Paralympic movement in our country.

I emphasize that the state will continue to support Paralympic athletes, uphold their legitimate rights and interests at the highest level, and create all conditions for training and speaking.

Congratulations to the laureates, I wish you a new achievements.

The Governor of the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Natalia Komarova thanked the Russian Paralympic Committee for the honor of hosting the ceremony. “On behalf of the Ugra people I would like to welcome all the guests and participants at this solemn ceremony, it is a great honor for us to participate in one of the most important events in the world of Paralympic sports. Dear athletes, laureates and guests, overcoming themselves, contrary to everything, be healthy, "Komarova said.

 

Vladimir Lukin presented Natalya Komarova with the gratitude of the Russian Paralympic Committee “For her great contribution to the development of the Paralympic movement in Russia”.

 

NOMINATION "I LOVE YOU, LIFE!"

The winner of the award in the nomination "I love you, life!" became the five-time world champion and three-time European champion Valeria Shabalina, who is a member of the Russian national swimming team for people with intellectual disabilities. Another laureate of this nomination is Alexander Alexandrov, two-time champion of the World Games of the International Federation of Sports for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, two-time world champion in shot put. The awards were presented to them by Vladimir Lukin and Natalya Komarova.

 

NOMINATION "BY PERSONAL EXAMPLE"

In the nomination "Personal example", the winner was the nine-time world champion in athletics among persons with physical impairments Andrei Vdovin. The awards were presented by 13-time champion of the Paralympic Games in Athletics, Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, member of the Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Rima Batalova, Deputy Governor of the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra - Director of the Department of Economic Development Nikolay Milkis and Deputy Chairman of the Duma of Ugra, head of the faction "UNITED RUSSIA", First Deputy Secretary of the Khanty Mansijsk Region regional branch of the Party "UNITED RUSSIA" Party regional coordinator of the project "Civil university" Natalia Zapadnova.

 

NOMINATION "STRENGTH IN WILL"

The winner of the “Strength in will” nomination was the five-time swimming world champion among persons with physical impairments and the four-time winner of the World Games of the International Sports Federation of Wheelchairs and Amputees, Roman Zhdanov. The awards were presented by the President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, the Secretary General of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, 5-time champion of the Paralympic Swimming Games Andrei Strokin, Deputy Governor of the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Yuri Yuzhakov and the Head Coach of the Russian national swimming team sports of persons with physical impairments, Honored Coach of Russia Yuri Nazarenko.

 

NOMINATION “STANDING POINT”

The director of the Center for Adaptive Sports of Ugra, Mikhail Vtorushin, won the nomination "Standing point". Honorary awards were presented to him by the Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Oleg Smolin, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Irina Maksimova and 4-time champion of the Paralympic Games in cross-country skiing and biathlon, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Irek Zaripov.

 

NOMINATION "WHAT IS OUR LIFE? FIGHT"

The silver medalist of the Paralympic Games, the winner of the World Championship among healthy athletes, a member of the Russian national team in powerlifting for persons with physical impairments, Vladimir Balynets became the winner of the award “What is our life? Struggle”. He was presented with awards by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, First Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Honored Wrestling Trainer of Russia Pavel Rozhkov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia David Krishtal, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Tatyana Mokhovikova.

 

NOMINATION "TURN OF DESTINY"

The winner of the “Turn of destiny” nomination was the champion and multiple medalist of the Paralympic Games for Persons with Cerebral Palsy, three-time world champion Ivan Potekhin. The awards were presented to him by the President of the All-Russian Football Federation of Persons with Cerebral Palsy, the head coach of the Russian national football team, the Honored coach of Russia Avtandil Baramidze, the head of the department of the State institution - the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation in the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Mikhail Rybyakov, and Champion of the Paralympic Games for Persons with Cerebral Palsy, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Andrei Kuvaev.

 

NOMINATION "AND LIFE, AND Tears, AND LOVE"

In the nomination "And life, and tears, and love" the married couple of Paralympics - Roman and Ekaterina Fedyaeva won. Roman Fedyaev - two-time world champion in wheelchair fencing, Ekaterina is the coach of the Olympic youth fencing team. The awards were presented by Honored Master of Sports of Russia, 3-time champion of the Paralympic Games in Athletics Olga Semenova and Deputy Head for Expert Work of the Federal State Institution Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Natalya Kening.

 

NOMINATION "SECOND BREATH"

The winner of the “Second breath” nomination was the world champion in sledge hockey, the silver medalist of the Paralympics in Sochi, the first vice-president of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments Vadim Selyukin. He was awarded by the Honorary Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation, Honored Coach of Russia Anatoly Tsarik, Head of the Khanty Mansijsk City Maxim Ryashin and 2-time bronze medalist of the Paralympic Judo Games, member of the Executive Committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee Irina Kalyanova.

 

NOMINATION "RETURN TO LIFE"

World champion and multiple medalist of world championships in archery among persons with physical impairments Elena Krutova became the winner of the "Return to Life" nomination. The awards were presented by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, First Vice-President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, Honored Trainer of Russia Pavel Rozhkov, Chairman of the Duma of the Khanty Mansijsk Autonomous Region - Ugra Boris Khokhryakov, and Director of the Legendary Feat Foundation, representative of Mikhailov Gallery Jewelry House Sergey Romanovsky.

 

NOMINATION "OVERCOMING"

Sledge-hockey club "Ugra" and club president Eduard Isakov became prize winners in the "Overcoming" nomination. Sledge hockey players of “Ugra” as part of the Russian team won the silver medals of the Paralympics in Sochi, twice became bronze world champions. The awards were presented by Vladimir Lukin, Honorary President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation, Honored Trainer of Russia Lev Seleznev, member of the Committee on Nationalities of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Elena Bondarenko.
