From 4 to 20 July 2019 in the city of Seville (Spain), the World Football Championship is held among persons with cerebral paralysis.
In the first match, Russian National Team defeated the Thai National Team with a score of 6 – 0.
In the first half, Aleksei Borkin (10), National Team’s striker, made two goals on six and thirty minutes into the match. On the 4th minute into the match, Bunsing Sukhitkun (10) made an own goal.
In the second half of the match, midfielder Soslanbek Gazdanov (7) and striker Leonid Ilyichov (2) added another 3 goals to the main score. Two goals on 54 and 56 minutes into the match were made by Soslanbek, and one goal on 45 minute into the match was made by Leonid.
National Team’s Head Coach Avtandil Baramidze summarized the results of the match:
“Thailand’s National Team is not a very strong contender, but they have a potential and I think, that in the near future they will show it. As for our guys, they played decently. But there are strong rivals ahead, so we can’t relax”
In next match, the Russian National Team will clash with the Canadian Team. The match will be held on July 9 at 12 p.m.
